Per the manuscript's own Author's Note: "Winfield Haskell does not exist. He is a fictional composite, a single narrative body built from two real cousins, Winfield and a second family source figure, whose names he wears as his own. This is a deliberate literary device, not a biography and not a disguise."
Chapters 36–44 are openly labeled projections about the future — not documented history. The Projection flag is preserved from the source and is never counted as settled fact.
Chronological events derived strictly from the manuscript's factual material. Per the source header: "Speculative future chapters are NOT recorded as events." Confidence and status vocabularies below are preserved verbatim from the shipped bundle.
The correction-log rule
Every published-preview work maintains a correction log. Nothing is deleted or edited in place; new evidence is appended with a date, and the earlier claim stays in the record.

A worked example from the source
An earlier edition described Ian as a former Senior XR Designer at Meta Reality Labs. That role appeared only in a stored user profile; it was corroborated by neither Ian's public LinkedIn nor Odisena's first-party founder page. The edition therefore removed it from the verified chronology and held it as an unverified user-profile claim, clearly labeled, pending primary-source confirmation.
A later correction entry (2026-07-11) notes the claim then appeared on Odisena's own /about page. The record treats that as first-party self-assertion, not independent confirmation — moving the claim only "one notch" in provenance strength rather than promoting it to verified fact. The Library of Alexandria adopts this exact standard for every work.
Chapter registers
- Narration — story-voice prose. Most chapters.
- Ledger — explicit factual audit-trail prose. The Continuation Ledger (chapter 45) is quotable as a status record, not as literary material.
- Front-matter — binding factual disclosures, including the protagonist composite note above.
Editorial gate status
